Sexual assault remains a prevalent part of the national dialogue in light of recent events. But, an attack that took place will have you howling for what the victim did to her perpetrator in self-defense. Proving once and for all that karma really always does the trick.
In North Carolina, a teenage boy named Antoine Miller was arrested after the woman he was sexually assaulting bit his tongue off in self-defense. The report indicates he showed up at the victims home with a knife on his person and he forced his way inside. Upon entering the home he tackled the victim to the ground and then proceeded to punch her several times. When he was able to ultimately subdue her he told her that if she stopped fighting against him that he would make it painless.
The victim told law enforcement officers that Miller tried to then pick her up and bring her into the bedroom while taking her pants off. However, before he was able to do that she kicked him in the groin area and he responded that he had to kill her then. When he proceeded to force his tongue down her throat she BIT IT OFF!
Antoine Miller is pictured below.
American Now reported,
‘The woman proceeded to throw the tongue on her kitchen floor, run out of the house and into her car, and drive to a nearby business where she called police. Miller was subsequently found at a Waffle House after his mother called 911 and said he didn’t have a tongue and needed medical assistance.
Miller was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and first-degree kidnapping. He was held on a $500,000 bond for the assault and possession charges.
The 16-year-old’s tongue was found at the crime scene and placed in a bag of ice. Police also reportedly found a knife with a white handle in the yard which belonged to Miller. The victim was left with a bruise on her right eye that was swollen, as well as scratches under her left knee and on her left foot. Many readers applauded the woman for taking action and thinking quickly to get herself out of a terrifying situation.
“Serves the creep right!” one America In Danger reader commented on the site’s Facebook page in response to the story. “Now hopefully he will spend the rest of his teenage years and part of his twenties in an adult prison cell.” Miller was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and first-degree kidnapping. He was held on a $500,000 bond for the assault and possession charges.’
Pix 11 gave an update on the boy’s condition and the status of his tongue,
“He was treated at Trident Hospital; it’s not clear whether doctors were able to reattach the tongue, which was recovered at the bloody crime scene and packed in ice, according to police. A knife fitting the description the woman gave police was also found at the scene, according to authorities.”
The Washington Post reported,
“The attack has garnered national attention, primarily because of the woman’s remarkable act. “Warrior not victim! Victor not victim!!” wrote Charleston resident Jennifer Leigh Jones-Wood on the Live 5 News Web site. “This lady is my heroine!!” Many others wryly commented on the almost Biblical punishment she enacted on her alleged attacker.
“It will be awhile before he will be able to testify to try to defend himself,” wrote Jo Cannon, another Charleston resident, on ABC News 4. Adding to the story is a claim by another North Charleston woman that she saw a man she believes to be the same one in the attack lurking on her doorstep the night before and called the cops, only for police to let him go. “The fact that someone was on my porch at that time in the middle of the night for no reason at all, and then he was questioned and said he was looking for a girlfriend, his girlfriend, it’s unnerving,” Mulvey told ABC News 4.
“It was a silhouette in my window,” she said. “But when they had the light on him, I could see that hair.” Miller’s neighbors told NBC News 2, however, that the 16-year-old suffers from a “brain disorder.” “I don’t believe that he is responsible for his actions,” an unidentified neighbor told the TV station. “He has a brain disorder that causes him to act on impulse and do things… he’s only reading at a second grade level.”
So far, the intended victim has stayed out of the spotlight. But the crime scene spoke for itself. When police arrived on Friday morning they found the bedroom splattered with blood. It wasn’t hers.”
Despite the fact that it was the teenage boy whose tongue was lost and whose blood was all over the crime scene nobody is going to be feeling bad for him anytime soon. You reap what you sow and if you want to go around attacking people, then expect others to be willing to partake in some self-defense. And that self-defense is not something that you can control.
